Properties - 2nd Menu

The 2nd menu feature is designed to give you access to Pocket PC's original menu right inside eXPerience!

Tap the menu icon to display Pocket PC's original menu.

Since it is possible that Pocket PC's start menu can be located somewhere other than the top left corner, the 2nd menu section in Properties allows you to specify where it is located.

A typical Pocket PC screen is 240 pixels wide by 320 pixels high.  The default setting for the 2nd menu is X = 10 and Y = 13.

X

When the menu icon is tapped, eXPerience will simulate a screen tap where the X and Y values are set.  For example:

1. Set coordinate values.

2. Corresponding screen location.

X = 10

Y = 13

3. Tap the menu icon.

4. eXPerience simulates a screen tap at the specified coordinates.

You can set the coordinates to point to anywhere on the screen.  If you prefer, you can use this feature to point to something other than the start menu.  For example, on our Pocket PC we have a volume control and a clock.

To point to the volume control set the x coordinate to 170, exit,  then click the menu icon .

To point to the clock set the x coordinate to 180, exit, then click the menu icon.

When the 2nd menu icon is clicked, you may see the original Pocket PC menu display but then disappear.  This is usually caused by a 3rd party application.  To stop this behavior you can get rid of the 3rd party application or you can uncheck the 'Execute Button Up' checkbox.  This tells eXPerience to only send a Button down click to the screen.
