Press down on your device's action button.  It is usually the large button in the center.

eXPerience will display the Start menu with a red focus rectangle around the Start button.  You can now press up, down, right, left to navigate the menu.  Once you have reached the desired menu click the button again and the menu item will be executed.

The Exit screen also supports the Action button.
