Plug-ins were designed for the Today screen. Getting them to work in eXPerience as applications took some technical feat. To ensure that plug-ins run correctly in eXPerience, you should turn them off on the original Today screen. For example, if you have Battery Bar on the Today screen and in eXPerience, then change the icon size in Battery Bar, it won't change in eXPerience until you restart eXPerience. But if you only have Battery Bar open in eXPerience, it will change as expected. Microsoft's default plug-ins are written in a way that makes it impossible to show them in eXPerience. This currently includes Date, Tasks, Owner Info, Calendar, and Inbox. There are many 3rd party plug-ins that duplicate the same functionality found in these stock plug-ins. Many can be found for free on the internet. |
