The Desktop section allows you to change the appearance of Pocket PC's background. Display any picture or no picture at all. Display the current Today theme. Change the background color to fit your needs.

Choose among many choices for image position and manipulation..




		If the image is smaller than the screen or the Image setting is 'None', then the background color will show.

Default


	When the image setting is the 'Default'group, eXPerience wiil show the selected image.

None


	When the image setting is 'None', the background color will show

Today Theme


	When the image setting is 'Today Theme', eXPerience will display the image loaded on the Today screen.




Multiple Themes


	Click the 'Today Theme' button to display the preferences screen. Select one of the options to configure when eXPerience reloads the Today Theme.

		This feature allows eXPerience to support external theme rotators by automatically reloading the theme into eXPerience based on the specified time interval.


	When the image setting is 'Multiple Themes', eXPerience will rotate through directories of themes and images. If you leave eXPerience and go to another program, eXPerience will stop reloading themes/images until you return to it.


	Click the 'Multiple Themes' button to display the preferences screen.

		Select one of the Reload options to configure when eXPerience reloads images and/or themes.

The 'Add' button allows you to include directories with themes and images.

The 'Remove' button excludes the selected directory from the list.

Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons to change the order of the directories.


Date Override


The 'Date Override' feature allows you to specify a different set of themes or images to display on a particular date. This feature is handy for birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions. If you leave eXPerience and go to another program, eXPerience will stop reloading themes/images until you return to it. When the day has ended, eXPerience will return to your previous setting.

		Click the 'Date Override' button to display the preferences screen.

		Select the date you want to override then click the 'Add' button.

	The date displays in the list. Click 'Edit' to set properties for this date.

		Select one of the Reload options to configure when eXPerience reloads images and/or themes.


	The 'Add' button allows you to include directories with themes and images.


	The 'Remove' button excludes the selected directory from the list.

	Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons to change the order of the directories.

Refresh Today

Select the 'Refresh Today' option to have eXPerience refresh Pocket PC's Today screen. When this option is deselected, eXPerience will load the theme on its desktop only.

WARNING: In our testing we find that refreshing the Today screen causes a memory leak. This problem is not caused by eXPerience. To prove this, shut down eXPerience and change the Today theme manually several times, you may see your memory start to decrease. If you see that your memory is decreasing, be sure and deselect the Refresh Today option. Remember, it is okay to load themes in eXPerience and not lose memory when this option is deselected.
